Nyasa Times vs Malawi Government not Like Fox News vs Obama

Is the Nyasa Times ongoing verbal opposition same as the American Channel Fox News vs. President Barack Obama? No. The Nyasa Times strongly supports the opposition to President Bingu wa Mutharika. Most of the articles written on the Nyasa Times website are very one sided which always causes an uproar from those supporting the current government. The latest article accuses the President of a plot to kill the Times' journalists based in England. Though the government has always been a critic of the Nyasa times, many do not come to terms with the fact that Special Agents will be sent to kill journalist living in the Diaspora.It is true that at times, the government has threatened the journalists, even going as far as asking the British Government to ban the Nyasa Times.
Dear Malawi Government and Nyasa Times; this should stop. In less than a month, Malawians will be voting and it is very important to use all the resources in our possession to unite. We are tired friends; very tired of this tirade. The Nyasa Times should try and be fair and the Malawi Government should stop harassing journalists. In the end, it is about credibility. As a result of the ongoing tirade, many have decided not to read the Nyasa Times again and others have decided to follow the opposition party in Malawi. If there was a score keeper, the result would be a draw;both of you loosing and your spectators being disappointed. Please stop it NOW. There are better issues to fight about, like how can you both help the Malawian people to fight AIDS? Malawian people need both of you to help them and to inform the World of their plight.
