That is a very intriguing question because throughout the years of his existence, many have wondered if the King of Pop was in reality white on the outside and black inside.(Please do not ask me what it means to be black or white from within, because this is one of those subjects that people can spend days debating without any positive outcome).
A PEW study has revealed on Monday that African Americans are more interested in the coverage of Michael Jackson's death than white Americans. Is it because they always considered him as one of them?
As an African who grew up listening to Michael Jackson and enjoying his performances, I always believed that he was neither Black nor White; he was simply Michael Jackson. A look at his kids tells you a different story while a look at his family will tell you yet another.
The change of his skin color shows that he was not comfortable in his skin so it is understandable that some refer to him as a white person. Others on the other hand think of him as the Michael of the 80s who was still black.
In reality, Jackson was neither black nor white.
